Got my pempek fix! ↕ Wasn’t a fan of the es teler and the other food items weren’t mine so I’m not sure if they were good!

We tried the gado-gado (peanut sauce salad), fried chicken thigh, BBQ fish, banana leaf rice (nasi liwet), and mee goreng. Every dish was delicious, but the nasi liwet stood out—perfectly cooked in coconut milk and chicken broth, infused with aromatic spices. Each bite delivered layers of rich, comforting flavor. I was truly blown away.

This is our first meal after we checked in our hotel (Oakwood) which is just opposite the mall. Food is authentic and yummy. The fried fish never fails us, we also like the sweet sauce chicken thigh and fried corn snacks. Mee goreng is always the classic here and popular among the boys. Great and casual ambience too. I would be back to try their avocado milkshake again. Nothing is complete without the attentive and great service by the Captain Suhendi! You elevated our dining experience and created fond memories for us!

I had the pleasure of trying Ayam Penyet at Daun Pisang and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. The dish features a perfectly fried chicken that is both crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The blend of spices used in the marinade gives the chicken an incredible depth of flavor. The sambal served alongside the Ayam Penyet was outstanding—spicy, tangy, and full of robust flavors that complemented the chicken perfectly. The accompanying sides, including the fresh cucumber slices, fried tofu, and tempeh, added wonderful textures and tastes to the meal. The presentation was also impressive, with each component of the dish arranged beautifully on the plate. The portion size was generous, making it great value for money. Overall, I highly recommend trying the Ayam Penyet and Gurame Bakar Bumbu at Daun Pisang. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves flavorful, authentic Indonesian cuisine. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy it again!
